    The boarding experience at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School prepares students for life in college 和 beyond. Around 80% of 上学校 students are a part of the boarding program. Our boarding community is very unique because we're home to students from more than 50 countries. 登机 students have the opportunity to connect with roommates from across the globe.

Our Residential 教师

教员 at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School all serve in the dorms. Students will have a one-on-one connection with their teachers 和 dorm parents. Our residential faculty members are there to nurture 和 guide boarding students through their personal, 学术, 还有社交生活. They become extended family, opening their doors 和 sharing their families, 他们的宠物, 他们的心. Great care is taken to aid students in developing effective study habits 和 social skills that will allow for meaningful relationships with peers 和 adults.

    Prospective students shouldn’t be worried about making friends, 和 definitely shouldn’t be worried about not getting used to things. There are prefects 和 dorm parents to help you, 和 students from all over the world wanting to make friends with you.

    I love being a boarding student because, even though you are far from your family, friendship helps you a lot here. We are all together after school. We do activities together at the dorm, in the evenings we watch movies 和 chat. I have friends from almost all nationalities, 学习新的文化, 和 am making friends that I will always stay in touch with in the future.

    Being so far from what you have called home for so long is definitely not easy. 然而, boarding at Rabun Gap is definitely worth all the challenges that the process of boarding brings with it. Those obstacles not only helped me explore parts of myself that I was never aware of, but also helped me bond with the people I call my second family now.
